Our cleansing bar:- * is mildly exfoliating *mildly astringent *suitable for all skin types *suitable for daily use *removes the heaviest make-up *completely cleanses the skin *is non-drying *is hand-made Our cleansing bar contains beads of Organic Oatmeal in a soap base made from Organic Coconut and Palm Oil with a pH of 7.5-8.0. No chemical fertilisers or pesticides are permitted in the growing of these crops. These products are certified by internationally recognised bodies such as the Soil Association. Soil Association certification ensures the integrity of the products in relation to the environmental impact of their farming and the long-term sustainability of the crops. The same stringent controls apply in the extraction and refining of the oils from the crop for example no bleaching or chemical distillation is permitted. Our soap does not contain Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) or Lye also known as Sodium Hydroxide or Caustic Soda. SLS is known by a variety of names but whatever you call it it is the ingredient that is added to most soaps, shampoos, toothpaste, car washes, degreasers, anything that has a foaming action. SLS is absorbed by the body and can cause skin irritations and a variety of health problems such as PMS, menopausal symptoms, femal cancers and reduced male fertility.
