Cairo is a desexed male staffy x kelpie just under 1 year old. He was adopted from the RSPCA at 6-8 weeks. He suffered a very bad break in his hind leg that was fully repaired before he was 6 months old (playing with our other dog, someone landed the wrong way...) he is fully vaccinated & wormed etc. He is an extremely high energy and very intelligent dog. We have come to the disappointing decision that he's just too much for us. Also our other dog has not been very receptive to another dog, he's been fine with her, but not so much the other way around. He doesn't jump on people or kids, and he semi listens to what our 3 year old tells hims to do, part of that is that the three year old is just starting to learn how to communicate effectively with the dog. He needs a big yard where he can dig, and run around. He also needs a "job" to keep him from getting bored and destructive. He would make an amazing farm dog. He's great off-lead and listens to what he is told, however he isn't too good if you leave him by himself, he can be quite destructive, which I'm fully aware is largely due to boredom He is free to a good home, preferably with a large yard, as I don't really want him to be moving from family to family for the rest of his life, nor end up back at a shelter | |
